This year Holocaust and Genocide Memorial Day is organised by the Parkes Institute for the Study of Jewish/non-Jewish Relations, University of Southampton and Solent University.
Our commemorative event includes testimony from Marie-Chantal Uwamahoro, marking the 30th Anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, in addition to a reading of the letters and diaries by Else Behrend-Rosenfeld and Siegfried Rosenfeld by Solent performance students, and a reflection from Barton Peveril students on their Holocaust Education Trust ‘Lessons from Auschwitz’ trip.
Join us at the Sir James Matthews Building in Guildhall Square on Thursday 25th January 2024, refreshments from 5.30pm with event 6-8pm.
