Ashes to Light Concert

Nelly Ben-Or was imprisoned in the Lwow ghetto as a child and subsequently escaped to Warsaw where she spent years living under a false identity, narrowly evading recapture by the Nazis.
She would eventually settle in England and find international success as a concert pianist and as a leading exponent of the Alexander Technique.

This evening recounts her story with her first-hand testimony, alongside live music for piano and violin, performed by Alex Metcalfe and Patricia Calnan, including works by Chopin, Bach and Bloch.
