The 27 January marks the 79th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945 and has become the international day to remember the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside other victims of Nazi persecution, and the millions of other people murdered during more recent genocides.

In his talk, Callum Braidwood-Smith, Head of History and Politics at Pocklington School, will explore the perpetrators of the Holocaust through the seemingly everyday photographs they took or those taken of them, reflecting on who these men and women were, and what it reveals about the Holocaust and perpetrators of genocide more broadly.

Friday 26 January, 4-5pm. The Music School.
