As a mainstream school, UCL Beacon School and also a school for the deaf, we are going to approach the concept of Freedom of Fragility through the perspective of the deaf community during the Holocaust and in the present day-we will be producing a commissioned piece of art to accompany our three main themes of "freedom of speech, freedom of culture and religion and freedom to live". Both our hearing and non hearing pupils will work together to educate people about the challenges faced by the Jewish deaf community during the Holocaust, shortly after and in the present day. We will be producing a video to share across the country to teach people about a much unexplored area of the Holocaust.
