Watch Together

Viewing films together is a great way to bring communities closer while marking Holocaust Memorial Day.

Watch Together

Films can be powerful experiences for viewers. The stories told in feature films and documentaries (whether fictional or based on real life experiences) show the dangers of allowing identity based hatred to flourish. The stories films tell develop viewers’ compassion for the victims and survivors of genocide.

These two resources will enable your group to come together and mark Holocaust Memorial Day through film, even if they cannot physically be together.

The first resource focuses on a film about the Holocaust – The Book Thief, while the second focuses on a selection of films about the genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
