Activity type: Public activity
Organisation name: Brackley Library
We will be creating a display in the library to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2022.
This will include information about Zigi Shipper, a Holocaust survivor, who told his story to one of our members of staff through the 'Lessons from Auschwitz' programme.
We will create an interactive display where members of the public can write a short message underneath the heading 'One Day...'.
You could describe the world you would like to live in one day without hatred or persecution, the importance of setting aside a day each year to remember and to learn about Nazi Persecution and more recent genocides or something else around this year's theme 'One Day'.
We will display a collection of books that people can borrow to learn more about the Holocaust at home.
We will also Light the Darkness with other households in the UK on 27th January and be sharing information about how to watch the ceremony online and join in with this within our display.
