Joyce Hackett studied at Wellesley, the University of Milan and Harvard. Her work has appeared in a variety of publications including the Paris Review, London Magazine, the Chicago Tribune and the Boston Review.

Disturbance of the Inner Ear is Joyce Hackett’s first novel and tells the story of Isabel Masurovsky, a former child prodigy cellist and daughter of a world-famous musician who survived the Theresiendstadt concentration camp.
