Books for Adults - Night

Elie Wiesel was born on September 30th 1928 in Romania and survived the Holocaust despite being imprisoned in the Auschwitz-Birkenau and Buchenwald concentration camps. Ten years after his liberation he wrote the memoir “Night” which tells his story of life before Nazism, life in the ghettos and concentration camps and reflects on the loss of his family. Elie now campaigns for an end to genocide and for racial and religious equality and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986. To commemorate Elie Wiesel’s 80th birthday Penguin Books are re-issuing Night which has been translated from French to English by Marion Wiesel, Elie’s wife.

Here, HMDT provide discussion points on “Night” for Adult Reading Groups.
