HMD, in partnership with New Vic Borderlines, are pleased to announce the first Holocaust Memorial Day Trust National Conference for Young People.
Firing the Imagination
20th September, 2007, 10.00-3.30.
What is “Firing the Imagination”
An experiential interactive conference to be held at the New Vic Theatre, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire, which will provide young people with an opportunity through the media of drama, dance, visual art and creative writing, to explore the 2008 Holocaust Memorial Day Theme Imagine...remember, reflect, react.
The conference will also provide a toolkit of practical ways in which young delegates can develop the imagine theme in their own schools, colleges and communities. At the conference they will discover different ways to “Fire the Imagination” of others through remembering the past, reflecting in the present and reacting in positive ways to create a better future.
Schools, colleges, youth organisations and those involved in home education are invited to send young delegates between the ages of 14 and 19 to represent them at this conference.
There is no charge for this event but places are limited.
To book your free places please contact the booking office at New Vic Borderlines on 01782 717962 quoting “Firing The Imagination”
