Holocaust Memorial Day Trust Treasurer-Trustee Vacancy (unpaid)

The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) are currently inviting applications for the office of Treasurer. The ideal candidate will have a background in accountancy, preferably within the charity or not-for-profit sector and will have a commitment to the aims of Holocaust Memorial Day.
The Treasurer will exercise governance responsibility for the financial health of the charity, reporting on this at intervals to the Board of Trustees. The Treasurer will carry out this responsibility in accordance with the governing document of the charity, meeting legal requirements and conforming with good practice. The Treasurer will also be a member of the HMDT Board of Trustees.
HMD commemorates the victims of the Holocaust and of Nazi persecution, as well as those lost in other genocides. It also seeks to learn the lessons of the past to combat prejudice, discrimination and racism in the present day. HMD is marked by hundreds of local events across the UK and a National Commemoration in a different UK city each year.
