We have exciting opportunities to volunteer at our UK Commemorative Event for Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) 2014, on Monday 27 January in Central London.
If you're enthusiastic, reliable and have an interest in learning about the Holocaust and subsequent genocides, then apply to volunteer at the UK Commemorative Event for HMD 2014. You will be an integral part of a dedicated team delivering a high profile event to commemorate the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. Whatever your role on the day; from event registration, VIP support or logistics; your contribution will be vital.
Volunteering at the event will be a great opportunity to see the bigger picture of Holocaust Memorial Day and be part of an event attended by Holocaust and genocide survivors, politicians and other dignitaries. It will also be an opportunity for volunteers to develop interpersonal and adaptability skills and broaden your experience in events. You will have a clear job role and brief before the event and will be key to ensuring that the ceremony and reception are a success.
If you have a professional and mature attitude, and would like to make a real contribution, we would love to hear from you. We’re looking for candidates who wish to be part of an important national event, who can work flexibly as part of a team, show initiative and display professionalism and maturity at all times.
At HMDT we work with a range of sensitive issues. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to meet Holocaust survivors and survivors of subsequent genocides. We ask that all volunteers act sensitively to the issues and the people that we work with.
If you are interested in applying, please request an application form by contacting Outreach Officer Naomi Line email@example.com or 020 7785 7029.
