Recruitment for HMDT Chair

Recruitment for HMDT Chair.

HMDT is the organisation behind the UK’s annual Holocaust Memorial Day, 27th January. HMD commemorates the tragic loss of life as a result of the Holocaust and from subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda and Darfur. On HMD tens of thousands of people come together to learn the lessons of the past to create a safer, better future.

The charity is looking for a new, dynamic Chair to lead the Trustee body and to help build the strategic vision for this high profile organisation. The Chair must be an excellent communicator as they will be the public face of the charity, responsible for building media, stakeholder and community relationships. The successful candidate must be available to attend six meetings per year and to represent HMDT at national and local engagements as required.

Interviews will be held in Central London in February and there will be opportunities to attend various HMDT events through January 2010.

This appointments process is not regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments but uses her Code as best practice

For more information on this position, please contact Rob Hayter at TPP Not for Profit on 020 7198 6060. Alternatively, email hmdt@tpp.co.uk for an application pack.
