HMD 2010 Short Film: Narrated by actor Daniel Radcliffe

HMDT has released a short film for those wishing to commemorate HMD 2010 in communities and schools. The film focuses on survivors’ stories and their wish for a Legacy of Hope. The film is narrated by actor Daniel Radcliffe, a supporter of HMD. You can view the film on our website, or contact the HMDT Team on 0845 838 1883 to order your free copy.

Tell us about your plans for HMD 2010

Each year, we are asked by thousands of people what they can do to mark Holocaust Memorial Day in their area. Help us tell them about your event by listing your HMD activities on our website.

Holocaust Glossary: Free Resource for Educators.

Completed as part of the Fellowship in Holocaust Education at Imperial War Museum, an Illustrated Holocaust Glossary is free to download and use with students of 14 years and above.  It also contains photos, survivor testimony, a special feature and links to teacher and student questionnaires. http://smartleydoesit.co.uk

Free CPD for educators

Free Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Holocaust Education is now available to secondary school teachers and PGCE students across England. The CPD is delivered by internationally recognised experts from the Holocaust Education Development Programme (HEDP), part of the Institute of Education, University of London. The CPD is delivered in regional workshops  providing effective, age-appropriate, classroom-ready resources. To find out more visit www.hedp.org.uk
