We are pleased to announce HMDT's UK-wide workshop programme for HMD 2017!
Every year we hold free workshops across the UK for people interested in organising an activity to mark Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) on 27 January. Workshops take place in the autumn and are aimed at both existing and new activity organisers, from schools, local authorities, voluntary and community groups, trade unions, prisons and many other types of organisations.
We are also running four HMDT Youth Champion Workshops, aimed at young people aged 14 -24 who would like to get involved with HMD. Find out more below.
Attending a workshop for HMD 2017 will help you to gain a better understanding of the importance of HMD activities taking place across the UK and in your local area, with practical help and advice on how to create a meaningful activity of your own.
Attendees will learn about the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and subsequent genocides, as well as challenges such as hate crime facing the UK today. The theme for HMD 2017: How can life go on? will be explored at our workshops, with information on offer about our free resources and previous activity ideas to help inspire you. Workshops are also a great opportunity to meet other activity organisers and your Regional / National Support Worker, so whether you’re a first time HMD organiser or have participated before there’s sure to be something for you!
We look forward to welcoming you to our workshops and to book your place please click on the links below.
If you have any questions or you would like any more information, please email our Outreach Officer Rhys Prosser: firstname.lastname@example.org.
