HMD2010 has been commemorated throughout the UK. More events than ever have taken place in schools, communities, places of worship and many other organisations. On or around the 27th January hundreds of thousands of people joined together to become part of The Legacy of Hope. Many attended events in their community, others read survivor stories watched the HMD 2010 short film and 40,066 people took the time to pause for a moment and light a virtual candle on the HMDT website.
