Surviving the Holocaust in film
Monday, 13 November, 2017 - 09:00

A back-to-back film duo of Oscar-winning, 'Sophie's Choice' (1982) with Meryl Streep, and docu-drama 'Into The Arms of Strangers' (2000).

Both films explore the trauma of the Holocaust from the point of view of those who survived it: Sophie as a result of liberation from Auschwitz, and the children of the Kindertransport as a result of evacution from Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia.

'Into the Arms of Strangers' contains significant survivor testimonies.
