Wednesday, 13 December, 2017 - 18:30 to 20:00

In the first of a series of events in Ashford to mark HMD 2018, exploring the theme 'The power of words', Holocaust Survivor Janine Webber is coming to Ashford to share her remarkable story of survival as a Jewish child in Poland during the Holocaust.

Born in 1932 in Lwow, Poland, Janine survived the Holocaust by moving between hiding places in occupied Poland, witnessing her family being seized by the Nazis in the process.

She moved to England in 1956 where she met and married her husband, and they had two children and two grandchildren. Today, Janine still lives in London and regularly shares her testimony with schools and communities.

This is a free, public event, and all are welcome. Booking is not required.
