Jamila's Legacy Event
Sunday, 14 January, 2018 - 11:00 to 13:00

It is an important, yet less well-known, fact that some of the earliest victims of the Nazi genocide were the disabled, and particularly people with mental illnesses and learning difficulties.

This event tells their story as well as the importance of resistance and remembrance. It involves presentations by Julian Harrison, the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust's Regional Support Worker for the East Midlands, and his son, Elliot; a question and answer session; and a broader discussion on the issue of mental health and human rights.
