In recognition for Holocaust Memorial Day, Movie House Dublin Road is holding a free public screening of from Belfast to Dachau along with a short discussion by the filmmakers.This Documentary is about Belfast man Teddy Dixon who, as a soldier in WWII, fought in France and Germany and was among the first to discover the horrors of Dachau concentration camp. Prior the screening of this film, we will show a short film on behalf of the Holocaust Memorial Trust called A Stranger Smiled at Me, telling the story of Walter Kammerling's journey fleeing Nazi-occupied Austria on the Kindertransport.

After both films have concluded, a discussion will be held with Belfast to Dachau filmmaker Dermot Lavery. This is definitely an opportunity not to miss.

This is a free and ticketed event, and will be held at Movie House Dublin Road Belfast on Wednesday 24th January at 18:30. To guarantee admittance it is advised that tickets are picked up in advance from the Movie House Dublin Road Box Office. Tickets on the night will only be available then on a first come, first served basis.
