To commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day 2016, Colin Dardis and Geraldine O’Kane from Poetry NI created an online anthology of poems on the theme of memorial, protest, reflection and looking forward, focusing on the Holocaust, Nazi persecution and subsequent genocides.
Following a positive response from poets throughout Ireland, 20 poems were selected for the anthology. Some are hard-hitting, others are more subtle. Geraldine was impressed with the detail in the poems and said ‘you could feel the involvement of people with the subject’.
Colin was ‘thrilled so many lent their voice to this worthy cause’.
